Who we are
GOODLOAD (“GOODLOAD”, “we”, “us”) runs the website goodload.in, the GOODLOAD web app at goodload.in/app and the GOODLOAD Android app (together, the “Service”). This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, who can see it, and the choices you have. For the purposes of India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, GOODLOAD is the Data Fiduciary for the data described here.

Information you give us
- Account details — your mobile number (used to log in with a one-time password), and the Gmail / email address and password you link to your account. Staff logins that you create use an email address and password.
- Business profile — your name, business or shop name, address, state, GSTIN, business type (trader, transporter or truck owner), and a logo or photo if you add one.
- Your records — bills and cash memos, customers and suppliers, account entries, shop items (with prices, GST rates, barcodes and photos), stock, orders, loads, LR / bilty, trucks and copies of their papers, and anything else you type or upload into the Service.
- Messages — chats you send to other users inside the app, and any report you make about another user.
- Service applications — the details you fill in when you ask our team for help with an online service (for example a registration or a permit application).
- When you write to us — your email and whatever you tell us.
Information from your device
The Service asks for a device permission only at the moment you use the feature that needs it. You can say no, and the rest of the app keeps working.

We do not read your SMS, call logs or contact list. The login OTP is sent by Google Firebase; we never see or store it.
Stored on your device. To work without internet, the app keeps a copy of your recent work, your settings (such as language and light / dark look) and your login session in your browser’s or phone’s storage. Clearing the app’s data removes this copy; your records in your account are not affected.
Technical data. When you use the Service, our hosting and database provider (Google) automatically records technical information such as IP address, device and browser type, and the time of the request, to keep the Service running and secure.
How we use your information
- To create and secure your account, and to let you log in again on a new phone.
- To provide the features you use — making bills, keeping your shop, stock and accounts, sending bills and messages to the people you choose, and processing service applications you submit.
- To let other users find and verify your business, only in the ways described in the next section.
- To show ads on the Service (see Ads and cookies).
- To answer your questions and complaints, prevent misuse and fraud, and meet our legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share your bills, accounts, customer lists or chats with advertisers.
Who can see what
- You and your staff. Your records are visible only to you and to the staff logins you create, with the permissions you give them. This limit is enforced on our server, not just inside the app.
- People you send something to. When you send a bill to another GOODLOAD user, that bill (with your business name, GSTIN and address as printed on it) is delivered to their account and becomes part of their records. The same applies to chat messages you send.
- Your public card. To let others bill you or chat with you, other logged-in users can see your GOODLOAD ID, name, business name, state, business type and profile photo when they search for you.
- Finding you by mobile number. By default, a user who types your mobile number can find your GOODLOAD ID and business name. You can switch this off in Settings.
- Address and GSTIN auto-fill. Others can fill your address and GSTIN into a bill automatically only if you switch this on in Settings. It is off by default.
- Posts you publish. Loads and other posts you put in the marketplace are visible to other users.
- Our team. Our team sees service applications you submit and reports you make, only to act on them.
- The law. We may disclose information if required by law, a court order or a government authority acting within its powers.
Service providers we use
- Google Firebase (Google Cloud) — login, database, file storage and website hosting. Your records and photos are stored in Google’s Mumbai (asia-south1) region in India.
- Google Sign-In — if you choose to log in with Google.
- Google AdSense — to show ads (see below).
These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms and privacy commitments. Some of their systems (for example the global login service and ad serving) may process limited data outside India.
Ads and cookies
goodload.in and the GOODLOAD app show, or may show, advertisements served by Google AdSense. This keeps the Service free for you.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info.
- Ad providers may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses and similar identifiers to show and measure ads and to prevent ad fraud. To learn more, read How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
Apart from advertising cookies, the Service uses only what it needs to work: your login session, your language and light / dark choice, and the offline copy described above. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; parts of the Service (such as staying logged in) may then stop working.
How long we keep data
- We keep your data for as long as your account exists, so that your records are there when you need them.
- When you delete your account, we remove your profile, records, photos, public card and login from our active systems. Bills you had already sent to other users stay in their records, because they are their business records too. We keep only the bare GOODLOAD ID number reserved, so it is never given to someone else.
- Copies held in our providers’ systems (for example security logs) are removed on their own schedules. We may keep specific information longer only where the law requires it.
GST law requires businesses to keep their accounts and invoices for several years. Please download or print the bills you need before deleting your account.
Your rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you have the right to:
- Access a summary of the personal data we hold about you — most of it is visible to you inside the app.
- Correct or update your data — edit it any time in the app, or ask us.
- Erase your data — delete your account from Settings, or ask us.
- Withdraw consent — switch off optional sharing in Settings, opt out of personalised ads, or delete your account. Withdrawal does not affect what was lawfully done before.
- Nominate another person to exercise these rights for you in case of death or incapacity.
- Complain — to our Grievance Officer first, and if you are not satisfied, to the Data Protection Board of India.
To use any of these rights, write to goodloadaps@gmail.com from the email linked to your account, or mention your GOODLOAD ID and mobile number.
How we protect your data
- All data travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and is encrypted at rest by Google Cloud.
- Access rules on our server make sure one account cannot read another account’s records.
- Logins use a one-time password to your mobile and a verified Gmail; staff get separate logins with limited rights.
No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your personal data, we will inform you and the Data Protection Board of India as the law requires. GOODLOAD will never ask you for your OTP or password.
Age limit
GOODLOAD is a business tool meant for people aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal data of children. If you believe a child has created an account, write to us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. If the change is significant, we will also tell you inside the app before it takes effect.
